Cray Meadows Councillors Don Massey, Cheryl Bacon and Ross Downing along with James Brokenshire, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate recently called on residents in Bexley Lane and the surrounding areas. Unsurprisingly, the most common issue that residents raised was traffic problems along Bexley Lane and access to RoyalPark.
Following our representations, at the Council’s Public Cabinet on 22nd February plans for a Traffic Management Survey along Bexley Lane was endorsed by Bexley’s Conservative Cabinet.
Cllrs Bacon, Downing and Massey said, “We are delighted the scheme has the go-ahead. Residents are keen to see improvements to traffic flow along Bexley Lane and to improve access into RoyalPark. We have received a huge response from residents and these will be passed to traffic engineers to be considered as part of their assessment of the area. There will also be a formal consultation process.
Cllr Bacon said “ We have listened closely to residents and have given them the opportunity to have their say. We look forward to seeing the ideas that come out of the survey and ultimately improving the area for local residents.”
