Ex Labour Councillor backs the Tories in East Wickham!

The Conservative Candidates in East Wickham have received a welcome boost to their campaign for re-election in East Wickham as the ex-Labour Councillor, John Lawrenson, has joined their campaign.
He was meeting residents with the Conservative team today (Sunday 25/4/2010) and has been a great help over recent weeks with leafleting in the Ward where he used to be the Councillor.

John Lawrenson was the Labour Councillor for East Wickham from 1998 to 2006 and said;

"Conservative Councillors in East Wickham in the last 4 years have truly represented local residents and made a real difference to the area. The Conservative Council have kept their promise of keeping the Council Tax down whilst providing quality services - I'll be supporting Steven Hall, James Hunt and Michael Tarrant on May 6th and would urge all East Wickham residents to do likewise."

Notes:

Conservative Councillors Alf Catterall, James Hunt and Michael Tarrant were elected in East Wickham in May 2006.  Steven Hall replaced Alf Catterall following his death at a by-election in January 2009.

John Lawrenson was the Labour Councillor for East Wickham from 1998 to 2006 losing his seat to Conservatives in May 2006.
