Meet your Conservative candidate, Christine Bishop, for Belvedere

Updated: Oct 14

Christine Bishop is your local Conservative candidate for the Belvedere by-election on Thursday, 17 October.

Christine said in her leaflet to residents, "My name is Christine Bishop. I am passionate about our wonderful community and the people who live there, which is why I am so disappointed to see local Labour MPs letting us down. "Less than 100 days into this new Government, both of Bexley's Labour MPs voted to remove the Winter Fuel Payment - worth hundreds of pounds, from up to 1,798 pensioners in Belvedere. The Conservatives voted to keep the payment. "Bexley Labour also backed Sadiq Khan's unfair ULEZ Expansion, which cost teachers and nurses £12.50 every day just to drive to work. "On 17th October, Belvedere residents have the chance to replace Labour's Councillor, who resigned to become an MP. Only a vote for the Conservatives will send Labour a message."
