Councillor Abimbola Carew
Abimbola (Bola) is a practising community pharmacist. She’s a married mother of two adult children. She strongly believes that health is wealth and is passionate about supporting individuals to make informed choices about their lives, health, and wellbeing.
As a Bexley resident for 20 years, Bola brings a wealth of experience to support the wellbeing of Bexleyheath residents. She is keen to act as a bridge between the community and the council and help to build strong relationships and partnerships to ensure local people’s opinions routinely inform the council’s plans and decisions. Councillor Sue Gower
Sue has been a Bexley resident for over 38 years and lives in Bexleyheath. She is married, and her adult children and grandson also live in Bexley.
Sue became a Councillor for Bexleyheath Ward in 2018, having spent over 25 years supporting Bexley residents in a voluntary capacity. She has been a local Magistrate since 2000 and was awarded an MBE in 2009 for voluntary service to disabled children and adults in Bexley.
In addition to her Ward responsibilities, Sue served as Vice Chair of the Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee; was Deputy Mayor in 2020 and is currently Cabinet Member for Communities.
Sue remains an active volunteer and is committed to bringing about local improvements for the benefit of Bexley residents.

Councillor Rags Sandhu
Ragbhir, known by his friends and family as Rags, has spent over 30 years of his life working within the Bexley borough.
Being a successful entrepreneur, he has won various business awards and in recent years has judged Bexley’s Excellence in Business Awards.
Rags regards himself very much as a ‘people’s person’ nothing makes this more obvious than him having a senior role within a local branch of an International Charity. He has a proven track record demonstrating his committed passion for the local community. Being a real champion of all things local, Rags is keen to build on the solid community foundations of the Bexley Borough.
