Your Crayford Councillors

Updated: Jul 19

Councillor Geraldene Lucia-Hennis

Geraldene was born in Crayford – the seventh generation of my family to have been born there. She has four children, three of whom still live in Crayford, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She has represented Crayford since 2006 and is very proud of her achievements so far: a new school, extension to the churchyard, saved Town Hall, new doctors surgery and opened up Shenstone Park, to name just a few. Geraldene intends to fight against the new development of 570 flats that are proposed for the centre of the town, to save Crayford Manor House from being demolished and to set up the Crayford Community Association. She is a member of many local trusts and associations, including Crayford creek restoration Trust, Crayford Living churchyard, and Crayford Manor House History Trust. Councillor Melvin Seymour

Melvin has lived in the Borough for over 40 years, the past 20 years of which have been in Crayford, where he is happy to have put down roots.

His wife was born in Crayford, and their children went to a local school, as do their grandchildren.

Melvin considers it a privilege to have represented Crayford since 2006 and is a hard-working advocate for residents.

He has served on many Council committees and, for the past 12 years, has chaired the Places Scrutiny Committee. This has provided him with an opportunity to help develop and inform on policy around libraries, recycling and Hall Place, which are particularly important to him.
